Heather (white) Fischer

My story doesn't get interesting till 2004.
After High school I went to College at SLCC and worked. Then in 2002 I got a job at Southwest Airlines. A great company to work for; in 2004 they closed their call center in Salt Lake, so to keep my job I moved to Pheonix, Arizona. Technically I lived in Mesa, but its the same general area. And now the best part, on September 11th, 2004 I met this really creepy guy at a church dance. I Married this guy (turns out he wasn't as creepy as I thought) on November 11th 2005. After a bad work experience at Arizona Broadway Theatre, we moved to Colorado Springs, CO in June 2006. Colorado didn't seem to like us much, our first and only winter had two record breaking snow storms, or Blizzards that shut down most of the state. So we are now living in snow free California. I am working on getting my California license to pratice as a Nail Technician. We are expecting our first child in early January.

Life since High School Davey Orgill Family

Ok so this might get a bit long but I will try to sum up the last 9 years or so. After high school I worked the summer and went on a mission to mexico. I got real sick when i was down there. Long story short i spent more time looking for bathrooms than i did people to teach. After about 14 months i came home and lived at home as a missionary while they did lots of tests on me.
After about 2 months of that they gave up and i was honorably released from being a missionary.
I learned a lot and grew a lot while i was out. After my mission I went to the community college and played on their club volleyball team. that was tons of fun. Later i went to uvsc for a very short time. I figured out that college wasnt really my thing so i just kept working different jobs trying to find something i enjoyed doing. I also started country dancing and became very good at it going 2-3 times a week for like 6 years. That's acually where i met my wife April.
the first time i saw her i was with brian williams and he picked a fight with her lame boyfriend. A few weeks later i started asking her to dance and got real good together.
after a month or so of dancing with her i got up the nerve to ask her out. We dated for about a year, she wasnt lds when i met her. we broke up for a while and she started taking the missionary discussions and was baptized. we continued to dance and later got back together and where married in the sl temple in september of 2004. She helped me get started doing wedding videos by putting all the equipment on her credit cards before we were married. I started out working for my older brother. I now own my own company I shot about 100 weddings this year. It's tons of fun and very rewarding. I found something that i love and it pays the bills. April does hair out of our house and last year started shooting photography for our company. So we get to work together quite a bit. Our son Zade is about 20 months now and is absolutely the cutest kid ever and the craziest kid ever. It took a while for me to learn this but family is what life is all about. We are expecting a baby girl in march. She will be two years younger than Zade. We are probably going to name her Daisy. I have been playing in rec basketball leagues for quite some time now. I dont play church basketball it's way too dangerous. We live in a home in West Jordan about 75th south and redwood road. I am in the young men's presidency in our ward, which keeps me fairly busy. so i guess that's all for now.

Josiah & Sharla McCarty

Hello all! Hope everyone else gets on here and updates us with the latest in their lives. Here is my update. I am still working at Janis Financial as a Mortgage Broker and loving it.We, Sharla and I, have two kids. Their names are Aspen Bree (4.5 Yr old) and Brindley Saige (18 Months). They are so much fun to come home to and play with. I sure love being a Dad.I recently was called into Young Men's as a Deacon's Quorum Advisor / Assistant Scout Master. Boy is that an interesting calling. The Ward we are in has decided that it is extremely important and necessary to have a camp out every weekend, so it is quite demanding to say the least.All is well with us and hope to hear from you all soon and catch up on the happenings in all of your lives.

Tony Wariner

This is Tony Wariner, umm about me. I'm working and going to school at ITT TECH, living the good life. I'm not married yet, I decided to go the alternate route and not get married at the age of 21 almost like everyone else. So I don't have any pictures of my kids and stuff. In fact I have no pictures stored on this computer but on my next entry I'll try to add some on here. Anyways, that's all that I'm doing, and see ya'll at the ten year i guess?

Marie (Christensen) Gentry

Hey there Lancers - I can't believe that it has almost been 10 years since we've graduated. It is so fun to read about what everyone has been up to. After graduating I went up to Utah State University. I lived in California the summer of 2001 and loved every moment of it. Weekends were full of going to the beaches, the redwoods, the 'city', pretty much anywhere along the coast. (Now I know why so many people want to live there). The following summer I did study abroad in Switzerland with the graphic design program at USU. In May 2003 I graduated with my BFA in Graphic Design. After graduating I was Manager at Memories a scrapbook store in Logan. While there one of my employees kept trying to set me up with her brother. She thought we would be perfect together. After a month or two I finally agreed to being set up with him. Little did I know, we were perfect for each other.
Dwayne and I were engaged a few months later. Unfortunately he was called to active duty the day before he was going to propose. To make a crazy long story short, we were married May 15, 2004. He was sent over to Afghanistan two weeks later. We were very lucky though, we were able to talk almost everyday while he was gone. While he was over seas I was transferred to the Bountiful Memories store and managed that store for a year. During this time Dwayne returned from over seas and started up at the University of Utah. I then started working as a graphic designer for a scrapbook distributor. After I worked here for awhile I decided this wasn't where I wanted to be. The designers worked extremely long hours and I never got to see Dwayne. I was hired at the University of Utah in the financial aid office. University jobs are the way to go!At this time we were expecting our first little one. Dylon McKay Gentry was born April 21, 2007. After he was born I did go back to work for a little bit, but decided that I needed to stay home with our little boy. I do miss working alot, I loved my job! But I know that this is where I need to be right now. Dylon is happy all the time and quite mellow (he takes after his dad on that one). We love his toothless smile and his laughing. He is extremely energetic, I worry for when he can crawl and walk. I don't know if I'll be able to keep up with him!Dwayne will be graduating in May with his Bachelors in Urban Planning and then next fall we will be off to Dental School. (I know, what does Urban Planning and Dentistry have to do with each other?) He has been interviewing this fall and we will find out in December where he has been excepted. Hope you are all doing well...it will be exciting to see every one at the 10 year. Have many good days to come.

Shala (Moser) Smith--loves 1-800-contacts too!

First let me just say, I love this blog stuff! Well, my story really begins before graduation. March of '98 to be exact. That is when I started dating a wonderful man named Cameron Smith. He was and still is the best thing to happen to me! We got married June 10, 2000. Cameron started school in at the Utah Career College in Applied Science/Graphic Design in July 2000. I started at the Utah College of Massage Therapy in August of that year as well. Busy, busy! I graduated one year later with my Certificate of Completion. Cameron graduated in June 2003. We kind of just floated along in life, having fun. We bought a condo in Holladay in August of 2003 and found out that we were going to have a baby shortly afterwards. Isaac Parish Smith was born July 16, 2004. He was 7 pounds 6 ounces and bald as could be with his dad's beautiful blue eyes. I quit my full time job shortly after as a bookkeeper for KFC and took part time work so I could be home with our new son. In March of 2006 we found we would be adding another addition to our family. Aaron Cameron Smith was born January 3, 2007-10 days late, but healthy and just as beautiful as his big brother. We sold our 2 bedroom condo soon after and bought a house in Riverton this past April. Cameron and I both work at 1-800Contacts, too! I take calls for orders (I get to work from home!) and Cameron works in the Help Desk. We are enjoying our family and new home immensely! Though I was extremely happy to graduate high school and move on with my life, I am excited to see what everyone has been up to and maybe even make friendships that I didn't bother to make back then. Strange how growing up changes you. Hope this finds you all happy and well!

Brynn (Andrew) Eastman

Hello, hello! What have I been up to? After GHS I went to SLCC and Dixie. I worked in the dental field as an assistant until 2001. In 2001 I went on a mission to Phoenix, Arizona. HOT! HOT! HOT! After my mission I traveled all over. I discovered a love for cruising, so many stops and you only unpack once! I have been to Costa Rica, Panama, Cayman Islands, Belize, Bahamas, Honduras and Mexico! Last year Monica (Ackerson) Prendergast helped me finish my first marathon! I am now working as the office manager for a dentist in West Valley City. Starting this fall I will also be teaching Dental Assisting at the SLTATC. I got married this last March to the love of my life, Chad. He is from Woodruff, Utah. He served his mission in Fortaleza, Brazil. He works for Comfort Systems USA as an HVAC service specialist. We live in Tooele, a bit too far west for me but Chad’s a small town guy ;) Chad and I enjoy traveling together, this summer we’ve been to Moab, Meza Verde and salmon fishing in Astoria, Oregon. We hope to start a family soon. I am looking forward to the 10 year, it should be fun!

Scott & Malia (Christensen) Shaw

Hello class of 98! Scott and I are happy that we get to kill two birds with one stone! After graduating from GHS I went to the Community College and Scott went to BYU Idaho. A year later Scott served a mission in Valencia, Venezuela. Shortly after he returned home we started dating and, to make a long story short, we were married in March of 2002. We lived in Taylorsville for two years and then built a home in West Jordan where we live now. Our first

baby boy, Ryan, was stillborn at eight and a half months. We miss him very much and are comforted knowing we’ll be with him again someday. In May 2005, Scott graduated from the U of U (although he still definitely bleeds blue) with his Business Management degree. After receiving my Associates degree, I studied American Sign Language and worked f0r a Deaf elementary school and absolutely LOVE signing and the Deaf community. We both currently work at 1-800 Contacts. Scott is one of the Associate Directors of the call center and I am the assistant to the CIO. As far as hobbies go…I still love to run. Scott plays a lot of golf and tells me I am going to have to get a second job to support his habit. Life has been wonderful to us and we feel lucky to be so fortunate. We look forward to hearing from all of you!
